‘Mutiny’ with Corey Wise by Kyle Goldie

This menswear story was shot exclusively for Ben Trovato in late Winter, 2011. The entire shoot was rainy, windy, and absolutely freezing - about 35-40 degrees. Corey Wise from the agency Sports Unlimited was a champion, though! I told him to take his shirt off for a few shots, and he did because he knew it was worth it. When I told him to take off everything but his underwear and boots, he was a bit more hesitant. Haha. I hope you enjoy this story, MUTINY

‘Vixen’ Editorial with Teela Laroux

Teela Laroux stars inVixen. This was shot roughly a year ago, but I recently revisited this editorial and wanted to put it on my blog. Teela has been traveling around the world as a high-end fashion model for years, but she is still going strong! With a face and personality like hers, she’s not going anywhere anytime soon. From start to finish in this editorial, we must have walked about 3 miles. Good thing we had gorgeous weather on our side! Rosaline Hampton styled the shoot, Sandy Phan assisted, and Ikrima “E” was my assistant for the shoot. She’s gorgeous!

Patience Silva. Stunning. Classic. We started the day early, leaving Hollywood near 5:30AM and drove to Palm Springs to convene with the rest of the team and get breakfast. There were a couple of snags with a team member having her car towed, but we made it work on set by having everything go smoothly as planned. It was stressful getting the shoot up and running, but once that first frame was taken, all of that washed away and complete focus was on the editorial. I could this location over and over again! It’s a true photographers playground. Traci Garrett was on hair, Desiree Foote on makeup, Katelynn Tilley for fashion styling, and Rafael Linares was assisting her. Enjoy!

Mei Tang Portland Oregon

I wanted to try out something I have never done before. Since I have mainly been shooting commercial images in 2011, I have had little time to really get back to the artistry I’ve been yearning to shoot. So, during my road trip through Oregon, I met with Mei Tang (Option Model Mgmt) at her condo and started getting spontaneously creative. No team involved. No assistants. Just me and her. This is what we came up with.
