After a couple years of wanting to shoot in the California desert, I ended up choosing to make the first location Joshua Tree for its unique landscape. I wanted to try out something I have never done before. Since I have mainly been shooting commercial images in 2011, I have had little time to really get back to the artistry I’ve been yearning to shoot. So, during my road trip through Oregon, I met with Mei Tang (Option Model Mgmt) at her condo and started getting spontaneously creative. No team involved. No assistants. Just me and her. This is what we came up with.
